Would everyone be able to get my email address, or would it be hidden?

If I was to enable the email link in Y/A......?
No one will see your email address, unless your ID is sharonc@yahoo.co. If so, you need to change your Yahoo! Answers nickname - (I will add instructions on how to change your nickname.)

Reply:You have the option of using a screen name other than your email address--so your email address will be hidden, as long as you're using a different name. Yahoo sends the emails that say "You have an email from another user"
