Are the persons here, who hide their Q & A and Email Link, mostly liberals or conservatives or what ?

When I see a good answer in R%26amp;S (mostly) or Philosophy or Science (some interest there also) I try to see in their Profile their other Q %26amp; A to see if I want them as a Contact. -- kindred-soul or kindred -mind etc. Sadly, about 1/2 of the time they have no Email Link and about 1/4 ? of the time no Q %26amp; A showing. I can understand some sick people hiding, but why are others -- (possibly) very good persons -- hiding?


Real threats or paranoid or what? Please share. Thanks !

I have had a lot of harassment but it seems unfair to comment and then not allow for argument or discussion.
Reply:Some of the people who do this have been harrassed and are protecting themselves from stalkers.
Reply:Wow, I guess I never thought about it that way. Perhaps they are just souls looking for something that they themselves are not even aware of. I cannot and would try not to even begin to judge one on that issue.

Reply:Neither. They just want to enjoy the Q%26amp;A with no further commitments. Let's keep it that way.
Reply:I am a liberal, and I hide my Q/A, because in my last account, I had stalkers, and got horrible emails, in response to perfectly good answers! After awhile it just got old! I would love to be able to talk to other people about questions, but for that 1% of people that ruin it for other people, its just not worth the trouble


If I really want to talk with someone I take the no email function off, and contact them, if i can! But, I put it right back on!


It just isn't worth the bother!

Reply:Well, i hide my email because i dont want any wirdos emailing me, but i always leave my QnA open so peple can at least contact me through yahoo. Its not prinoia though, i have had TONS of nutters emailing me after I left it on my regular profile once.
Reply:Most are probably like myself and been followed by a "troll" and had multiple Q %26amp; A's reported. I did not want to put mine in hiding but sadly I had to. : (





btw, my e-mail is still open . . .I don't mind to discuss things. . .I just don't want to be stalked, lol

But I have my email hidden because I don't want spam first of all and second I have actually been stalked online before. As far as I know though others can still see my Q %26amp; A and send me messages through Answers.
Reply:I have hidden my Q%26amp;As from all but my contacts to stop trolls from looking at and reporting previous answers - I have had this happen before.





My email link is still there though.
