I am trying to link my yahoo email account with MS outlook?

During setup wizard they ask for a POP3 incoming server and a STMP outgoing address. Does anyone know these?

I am trying to link my yahoo email account with MS outlook?
Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com (Use SSL, port: 995)

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com (Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication)

Account Name/Login Name: Your Yahoo! Mail ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com")

Email Address: Your Yahoo! Mail address (e.g., user@yahoo.com)

Password: Your Yahoo! Mail password
Reply:Recently I took a course at the junior college and was given information about this. I think the POP3 is in Internet Explorer.

Here is a copy of the hand out that I was given. It is not copyrighted but is rather old 10/14/2004. There may be another way that is easier by now.

Using DrStopSpan With Hotmail

DrStopSpam can proces your hotmail spam messages but first you must save them to your computer in an acceptable format. At the time of this publication, the best way to do that is to setup Outlook Express (a free program that comes with Internet Explorer) so that you can easily save your hotmail spam messages to your computer. You will also gain lots of extra benefits so get started now.

You CAN do it! In just 3 Easy Steps! If you have a HotMail Account, you can easily use it with DrStopSpam. First follow the instructions below on setting up Outlook Express to access your Hotmail Account and then in 3 easy steps you can get back at those spammers who fill your hotmaill account with junk!

SETUP FOR OUTLOOK EXPRESS: Start your free copy of OutlookExpress and use its Wizard to create a Hotmail Account. To do this simply go to these Outlook Express Menu Items in this order: Tools-%26gt;Accounts-%26gt;Mail-%26gt;Add (this starts the mail setup wizard). Outlook Express will prompt you through the setup the Email Account on your computer. Now when you read and write Hotmail Save the SPAM you get to a folder named "SPAM" (or whatever you prefer) on your hotmail account (use create folder on the left of the Hotmail screen).

SAVING YOUR HOTMAIL MESSAGES WITH OTLOOK EXPRESS' HELP: When you want to use DrStopSpam, simply start OutlookExpress, go on-line, and it will show you your hotmail account. In OutLookExpress,

create a LOCAL folder called SPAM (right click on the Local Folder for this option).1)Now DRAG your spam from Hotmail Spam folder to the LOCAL Spam folder. You have just converted your Hotmail to .EML format and placed it on your local computer. 2) Now DRAG and DROP the spam from OutlookExpres to any folder of your choice on your hard disk. I created a SPAM sub-folder in my MyDocuments area. 3) When you have saved a bunch of spam for processing simply have DrStopSpam read them from this folder on your hard disk.

Summary: Drag from Hotmail-%26gt; Outlook Local Box. Then Drag from Outlook Express to SPAM folder on hard disk! 3)DrStopSpam can now read the files from your hard disk! It's easy as 1 -%26gt; 2-%26gt; 3! You are Done!

Note: If you want to see the message headers while in Hotmail, you MAY need to set the Options to allow display of the headers. Headers are the full pth that the message took to get to you. Stop Spam uses this information in order to track down the spammers. You should get this via outlook express even if you do not set these options in hotmail. This is only if you wan to be able to see the headers while reading mail in your hotmail page.
