How can I create a link to a web page inside an email?

Seems like this used to be easier. I thought it used to be like ... just click and drag or something but I really can't remember. Now I don't seem to have any luck achieving this end.

How can I create a link to a web page inside an email?
If you're using a newer version of microsoft you should be able to create the link just by typing it in the email. for example www.abc123.com. Worth a try.

Reply:You just type the link, and it should to it itself. Do it with the http, and the www., though.
