When I got to this site, it looked exactly like an ebay site and asked me to log in. Since the security enabler popped up, I chose not to enter in any information. Am I in trouble or did I make myself any more vulnerable by just clicking the link?

Phishing sites often embed malware in their pages. This way, if someone backs out at the last second and doesn't enter their info, the malware will sit on their PC and wait for them to do it at the real site and get login info that way. So yeah, that's why you don't click links from random emails.

I've been getting duplicate messages in my Yahoo email so I wrote the help desk. They say I can change an option to delete mail from the server, but I'm supposed to access it through the email options link. There is no such link. I have 'options' but it doesn't take me to any place where I can change this setting. Anyone know what to do?

How come when I get a email from someone and there is a link in it I can't click on it?
Your internet/antispy software might have links disabled. Also depending on how they was mailed to you. with the beining "http://" ect. It might not have been made into a link. Simple issue is who mailed it to you vs what it is, and how it was mailed. Some websites ect will mail links and if thier mailer system screws up they put int "If you cant click here just cut and paste into your browser window"

#1: Yahoo has a spamguard filter, but only if multiple users report an address as spam will it be treated as such by the filter.
You have a personal list for blocking addresses in spam options. Anything you mark as spam in Mail classic will be added to that list, in New Yahoo mail adding addresses to the list has to be done manually. If you ever receive anything from those addresses in the future, it will be deleted automatically, you won't even notice when you got some more crap from them. One problem though: the list of blocked addresses is limited to 500 and spammers often change their address. So you must sometimes delete some of the older blocked addresses to make room for new ones.

Reply:you most likely have a virus or Trojan on your PC that came in thru the internet. everyone should have a good virus protection program - your internet service provider probably has a free one you should use regularly. Yahoo uses Norton's and when installed it will run automatically and keep your system free of junk like this.
Reply:You can use the filters and address blocker to send them straight into the trash file. Dont open them, reply or click on any links. Hopefully you will gradually get moved down the list to send spam to and eventually disappear. Otherwise you might end up getting 100+ a day like I am at the minute!

I would not reply to all, because then you have shamed your friend in front of others. So if you get spam rumors, shoot them down with evidence to the contrary. The only way to fight ignorance is with information.

I ran some memory conservation %26amp; safety program by DELL and now I can't use the LINKS in emails. It is driving me crazy. Any idea how to turn it back ON! BTW I use outlook express for email %26amp; a charter.net email address (if that matters?)

In that case---you will have to make Yahoo Mail the default Mail.
Click Tools---then click Internet Options---click the "programs" tab (across the top).

If you're using Outlook Express (OE) I can think of two reasons this might be happening. I have a school email account. How do I link it so my computer tells me I have a new email? Thanks!?
There are so many different possibilities that the best answer I can give you is contact the administrator for the school mail system. They will be the resident experts on their system and how to connect to it. You could spend days trying all of the possibilities that will be put forth here on yahoo, and probably never succeed but if you call your school system help desk, they can have you up and running in 10 minutes. I hope this doesn't sound like a cop out, but I don't want to feed you a million things to do when a single phone call will do it for you.

Now, you have two ways:
1st Way:
Go over to Photobucket.com, register and then Upload your saved picture onto that site. You will have a button called Browse when you're once inside your new Photobucket Profile. Click on it and press OK and then click on Upload or a similar button.
Now, once it's uploaded, there will be 4 codes below your pic. Copy the Direct Link one and you can paste it on a site which accepts pic hosting from other sites.
2nd Way:
If the website on which you want the image to be shown supports directly uploading from your computer, like Y! Answers or YouTube, you can directly go into Settings and select the image to upload from there. Just select the image that you saved on the desktop.
If something is not clear, please let us know through addtnl info.

http://mailplus.yahoo.com/ is 1 way but the free way is to download and install ypops configure it and open outlook and add ure yahoo account note that the key here is to make sure that both server names are '127.0.0.1' and not pop.mail.yahoo etc... mine works fine, took awhile but I got it

If so, you can't. you cna only use email addresses with POP3 or IMAP access, and Yahoo's free service doesn't cover those services: you have to pay for Yahoo Plus service to get those.
Gmail is the best free email service to use with Mail on a Mac. They offer both POP3 and IMAP access and you get a ton of storage space.

Do you mean with Yahoo Answers?
The next time you go to the front page, make sure the box underneath your ID and Password is ticked which says remember me on this computer.
I tend not to logout. I just close down the webpage

Linking is back to normal. Make sure you have a blank space before and after the complete url, otherwise it won't work!

At this time Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. If you look you will find lots of people cannot send/receive/delete mail at the moment. Also try using the HELP button. Yahoo is there to help use it. I do all the time.

Why does my email freeze up every time I close a link that I have clicked on?
Every time we click on a link within a certain email it freezes up when we close that link, then we have to ctrl,alt,delete. It closes email account completely and you have to right click on icon click on open AT%26amp;T Yahoo Browser and start all over again. I can't get any answers from anyone. If I can't get an answer somewhere I'm going to remove yahoo browser and use something else.

We have had some bad storms this past week and maybe that is why

Then try, if that doesnt work, uninstall firefox then re-install it.
If that still doesnt work, do a virus scan.
