Either click in the address bar so it turns blue then right click on the mouse select copy and paste it into your e-mail or type the link yourself
Reply:to a website?

cut and paste the URL into the e-mail... most email applications will recognise it as such and the recipient will just be able to click on it to active the link.

if you want to type it in, make such you include the full path

(i.e. http://www.fark.com rather than just www.fark.com )

I clicked a link in an "ebay" email; however, it was detected as a possible phishing site. Please help!

When I got to this site, it looked exactly like an ebay site and asked me to log in. Since the security enabler popped up, I chose not to enter in any information. Am I in trouble or did I make myself any more vulnerable by just clicking the link?

Phishing sites often embed malware in their pages. This way, if someone backs out at the last second and doesn't enter their info, the malware will sit on their PC and wait for them to do it at the real site and get login info that way. So yeah, that's why you don't click links from random emails.
Reply:Do NOT enter information in places like that---

ALWAYS go to www.ebay.com - type it in yourself to be safe!

and if you get an email and you don't know if its really ebay- go directly to ebay and look at your email in there...if its real- it will be in there too!!!
Reply:you shouldn't have gone to the link but you should be fine. Remember if you ever get an email from ebay, amazon, your bank, etc. you should always be able to do whatever the email says by curcumventing the link, going to the actual site, logging in, and taking control of the issue from there.

How can i save a video as playable file on my desktop if i recieved it in email as a link?

The link that you are going to has it set up to only save as an html file. If you want the song or video try going to a peer to peer site and downloading.

"Email Options" link is not there?

I've been getting duplicate messages in my Yahoo email so I wrote the help desk. They say I can change an option to delete mail from the server, but I'm supposed to access it through the email options link. There is no such link. I have 'options' but it doesn't take me to any place where I can change this setting. Anyone know what to do?

"Email Options" link is not there?
It sounds like help desk is talking about a setting that would be made inside whatever email program you are using. This, of course, assumes you are using POP3 access through Outlook Express or something similar. If that's true, you have to go into the Tools, Accounts, Properties... in order to change the setting that would remove emails from the Yahoo server after they have been downloaded to your computer.

If, though, you are NOT using pop3 access, their advice seems a bit strange.
Reply:From the top of your yahoo inbox, "Options' is on the right. Click on that.

On the "Options" page, click on "POP Access and Forwarding". You can change it at the bottom of the page that opens up.

How come when I get a email from someone and there is a link in it I can't click on it?

Your internet/antispy software might have links disabled. Also depending on how they was mailed to you. with the beining "http://" ect. It might not have been made into a link. Simple issue is who mailed it to you vs what it is, and how it was mailed. Some websites ect will mail links and if thier mailer system screws up they put int "If you cant click here just cut and paste into your browser window"
